A bird perches on the rim of one of the Duplex Cones on the first day of autumn, 2019. On the autumnal equinox, when day and night are equal, the Duplex Cones at MLK Regional Shoreline cast shadows of straight lines on the ground before them and their internal surfaces are in shadow.
