Examined Steller Sea Lion - View 1 IMG_5609.jpg
Four days after its discovery on Pomponio State Beach, a sub-adult, male Steller sea lion shows signs it has been examined by a representative of the Marine Mammal Center. Examination found, among other things, that its stomach was empty and there was no evidence it had been shot. Cause of death: 'undetermined' - another of many unexpalined Steller sea lion deaths. The Steller sea lion is listed as a threatened/endangered species.
