A slice of jagged coastal bluff above Tunitas Creek Beach juts out above the fog blanketing, enveloping, Tunitas Creek Beach off Highway 1 south of Half Moon Bay. On the horizon, eleven and a half miles away and barely visible, is the round radar orb at Pillar Point above Mavericks, infamous among surfers.
