Golden Gate Raptor Observatory - Marin Headlands (19 images)
Volunteers with the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory capture, weigh, measure then release hawks and other raptors as they migrate through the Marin Headlands overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. The area was a military base until the late 1960s. It is now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
